During one of these meetings, in May 1991, the author's wife was told that her son was dead.
وأثناء اللقاء الذي جرى في أيار/مايو 1991، علمت زوجة صاحب البلاغ بأن ابنها قد توفى.

She recalls that her son was shown on national television during the investigation i.e. before any determination of his guilt by a court and was forced publicly to confess his guilt for several serious crimes.
وتذكِّر بأن ابنها قد ظهر على شاشة التلفزيون الوطنية أثناء التحقيق، أي قبل تقرير إدانته من طرف محكمة، وأرغم على الاعتراف علانية بارتكاب العديد من الجرائم الخطيرة.

By some she was told that her son had been transferred to the prison in Blida or Tizi-Ouzou, by others that he had been admitted to the psychiatric hospital in Blida, or even that he had been released.
فقد أخبرها بعض الأشخاص بأن ابنها قد نُقل إلى سجن البليدة أو إلى سجن تيزي وزّو. وأخبرها البعض الآخر بأنه محتجز في مستشفى الأمراض العقلية في البليدة أو أنه قد تم إطلاق سراحه.

2.12 On 18 February 2005, the author informed the Committee that she received a letter from the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, dated 2 February 2005, where it was stated that her son was executed on 2 July 2001.

7.2 The Committee notes the author's allegations that her son was subjected to beatings, threats and humiliation by officers of the Crime Detection Department, for the purpose of extracting a confession from him, and identifies the alleged perpetrators of these acts.

5.3 Concerning the author's claim that her son was beaten by police officers upon his arrest in September 1992 and that his confession was coerced, the Committee noted that although the allegations had not been explicitly refuted by the State party, the judgement from the court of first instance revealed that the author's allegations were examined by the court, which found them groundless.
