While noting that the minimum age for employment and labour is set at 16, the Committee notes that the State party has not ratified ILO Conventions No. 138 concerning Minimum Age for Admission to Employment, and No. 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour, whose ratification would further improve the protection of persons below 18 from economic exploitation.

39. CRC noted with appreciation the Czech Republic's declaration made upon ratification of CRC-OP-AC that the minimum age of voluntary recruitment into the armed forces of the Czech Republic was 18 years.
