But I wish to remind the world that Somalia has been supported by the international community, even during the previous tyrannical regime.
ولكني أود أن أذكّر العالم بأن الصومال قد دعمها المجتمع الدولي حتى في أثناء النظام الاستبدادي السابق.

We hope and trust that Somalia will eventually embark on the course of disarmament with the support of the African Union, particularly the troop-contributing countries, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development, the United Nations and the international community at large.

This will also be an opportunity for the international community to look at priorities for support in the post-transition period, bearing in mind that Somalia will need significant support to develop and implement the interim Constitution, build governance institutions, empower regional administrations, strengthen the security sector and prepare for elections.

94. It is of utmost importance that the international community recognize that Somalia is not only facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world today, but also a very serious security challenge linked to global terrorism which, if not handled urgently, could worsen.

Recalling that Somalia committed itself, as recorded in decision XX/19, to introducing a system for licensing the imports and exports of ozone-depleting substances, including import quotas, by the end of December 2009,

On 25 and 26 October, at a meeting in Garowe, the leaders of " Puntland " , RRA and the Somali Patriotic Movement declared that Somalia should be a federal state made up of " Puntland " state, Northwestern state ( " Somaliland " ), Central state and Southwestern state, the latter consisting of the Lower Shabelle, Bay, Bakool, Gedo and Lower and Middle Juba regions.
