وفي هذا الإطار يندرج التقرير الذي أصدره مكتب المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان بتونس في شهر آذار/مارس 2014 حول " السجون التونسية بين المعايير الدولية والواقع " والذي تمّ إعداده بالرجوع إلى المعايير الدولية المتعلقة بأوضاع السجون ومعاملة السجناء ومقارنتها مع التشريعات الوطنية ذات الصلة من جهة، ومدى تفعيل وتطبيق تلك القواعد على المستوى العملي من جهة أخرى.
