With respect to article 14 of the Convention, members of the Committee particularly welcomed the fact that Ukraine had recognized the competence of the Committee to receive and to consider communications from individuals or groups of individuals claiming to be victims of a violation of any of the rights set forth in the Convention.
٤٥ - وفيما يتعلق بالمادة ١٤ من الاتفاقية، رحب أعضاء اللجنة بصفة خاصة، بأن أوكرانيا أقرت باختصاص اللجنة في تسلم والنظر في رسائل من أفراد أو من جماعات من أفراد يدعون أنهم ضحايا لانتهاك أي من الحقوق المنصوص عليها في الاتفاقية.

265. The Government must ratify the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, and simultaneously make the declaration provided for by article 22 that it recognizes the competence of the Committee to receive and consider individual communications.
٥٦٢- ويجب على الحكومة أن تصدق على اتفاقية مناهضة التعذيب وغيره من ضروب المعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهنية وأن تصدر في الوقت نفسه اﻹعلان الذي تنص عليه المادة ٢٢ بأنها تعترف باختصاص اللجنة في تسلم ودراسة بلاغات اﻷفراد.
