In three of the five cases relating to individuals de-listed by the Committee through the Ombudsperson process, the de-listed person has subsequently contacted the Ombudsperson, claiming the continued application of sanctions measures after the de-listing.

For these reasons and those set out in previous reports, it would be helpful if consideration were given to mandating the Office of the Ombudsperson to follow up on claims of the continued application of sanctions measures despite de-listing and to directly transmit exemption requests from individuals and entities to the Committee for its consideration.
