In order to develop a comprehensive response, the organizations of the United Nations system have established a High-level Task Force on the global food crisis, which has outlined a comprehensive framework for action in order to help address the current food crisis, including strengthening assistance to smallholder farmers in the developing world, who are among the most vulnerable, through close partnerships at all levels by all stakeholders.
