In this context, Brazil welcomes the recent joint Ministerial Statement on the comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), adopted in September.

We would also like to welcome the Joint Ministerial Statement in support of the CTBT that was adopted during this session of the General Assembly, on 14 September 2002, and that has been endorsed by 50 Foreign Ministers (see A/57/586).

4. Ministers welcome the Joint Ministerial Statement released in September 2002 at the Friends of the CTBT Foreign Ministers' Meeting and call for efforts toward the success of the Conference on Facilitating the Entry into Force of CTBT to be convened this year in accordance with Article XIV of the Treaty.

The Commission on Narcotic Drugs might wish to reaffirm the commitment of the international community to the Political Declaration, the Declaration on the Guiding Principles of Drug Demand Reduction and the measures to enhance international cooperation to counter the world drug problem adopted at the twentieth special session of the General Assembly, as well as the Joint Ministerial Statement.

Mongolia supported the work of the Commission on the Status of Women and of the Economic and Social Council in implementing the Platform for Action. It also welcomed the Council’s adoption of the ministerial communiqué on employment, poverty alleviation and the empowerment and advancement of women.
وذكرت أن منغوليا تؤيد أعمال لجنة مركز المرأة وأعمال المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في تنفيذ منهاج العمل، وأنها ترحب بالبيان الوزاري الذي اعتمده المجلس بشأن العمالة، وتخفيث حدة الفقر، والتمكين للمرأة والنهوض بها.
