١٠ - وعملا بالجزء الخامس من قرار الجمعية العامة ٥١/٢١٨ هاء، المتعلق باستعراض معدلات السداد للبلدان المساهمة بقوات، بدأ العمل في أثناء الفترة المستعرضة، في دراسة استقصائية جديدة، وستقدم في عام ١٩٩٩ تقريرا عن نتائج هذه الدراسة.

Should the decision be taken to do so, the Assembly will also have to decide whether to address the question of resource requirements now or at its resumed fifty-eighth session, in the spring of 2004, in the context of its consideration of the report to be submitted by the Secretary-General in pursuance of section V of Assembly resolution 57/190.
فإذا اتخذت الجمعية قرارا للقيام بذلك، سيتعين عليها أيضا أن تبت فيما إذا كانت تريد التطرق إلى مسألة الاحتياجات من الموارد الآن أو في الدورة الثامنة والخمسين المستأنفة في ربيع عام 2004، وذلك في سياق نظرها في التقرير المقدم من الأمين العام عملا بالجزء الخامس من قرار الجمعية 57/190.

The statement referred to by the representative of Morocco, which concerned part V of the text, indicated that it was the Fifth Committee’s understanding that all activities of ICSC related to human resources management should be programmed in such a manner that the Commission would derive the maximum benefit from such activities.
ويظهر البيان الذي أشار إليه ممثل المغرب، والذي يتعلق بالجزء الخامس من النص، أن اللجنة الخامسة تدرك ضرورة برمجة جميع أنشطة لجنة الخدمة المدنية الدولية المتعلقة بإدارة الموارد البشرية بطريقة تستمد منها لجنة الخدمة المدنية أقصى المنفعة من هذه اﻷنشطة.

20. Ms. Pehrman (Finland), speaking on behalf of the European Union in explanation of position, said, with regard to part V of the draft resolution, that the European Union deeply regretted that the Committee was faced with revised estimates emanating from a resolution by the Human Rights Council that was inconsistent with a resolution on the same matter by the Third Committee.
20 - السيدة بيهرمان (فنلندا): تكلمت باسم الاتحاد الأوروبي تعليلا للموقف، وقالت، فيما يتعلق بالجزء الخامس من مشروع القرار، إن الاتحاد الأوروبي يأسف عميق الأسف لأن اللجنة تواجه تقديرات منقحة منبثقة من قرار لمجلس حقوق الإنسان لا ينسجم وقرار للجنة الثالثة بشأن نفس المسألة.
