٩ - تشيد بالجهود الدؤوبة التي تبذلها قوة اﻷمم المتحدة للحماية في سبيل أداء واجباتها في إقليم جمهورية كرواتيا. وتؤكد، في هذا الصدد، أهمية دورها لعملية السلم عموما ولنجاح إعادة إدماج اﻷراضي الكرواتية التي تقع تحت السيطرة الصربية إدماجا سلميا؛

13. Appreciates the persistent efforts of the Secretary General, his Special Envoy, the General Secretariat and the OIC Contact Group on Somalia to achieve peace and stability in Somalia. In this regard, endorses the recommendations adopted by the Senior Officials meeting of the Contact Group on Somalia held at the General Secretariat in Jeddah on 26 February 2007.
13 - يشيد بالجهود الدؤوبة التي يبذلها كل من الأمين العام ومبعوثه الخاص والأمانة العامة وفريق الاتصال المعني بالصومال التابع لمنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي لإحلال السلم والاستقرار في الصومال، ويدعم في هذا الصدد، التوصيات التي أقرها اجتماع كبار مسؤولي فريق الاتصال الذي عقد في مقر الأمانة العامة بجدة يوم 26 شباط/فبراير 2007.

The Council also recognized his sustained efforts towards finding just and lasting solutions to various disputes and conflicts around the globe, and commended the reforms that he had initiated as well as the many proposals he had made on the restructuring and strengthening of the role and functioning of the United Nations system.
كما أقر المجلس بالجهود الدؤوبة التي بذلها في سبيل الوصول إلى حلول عادلة ودائمة لمختلف النزاعات والصراعات في شتى أنحاء المعمورة. وأثنى على الإصلاحات التي بدأها وعلى المقترحات الكثيرة التي قدمها بشأن إعادة هيكلة منظومة الأمم المتحدة وتعزيز دورها وأدائها.

٢ - إن نجاح هذا الاجتماع شهادة اعتراف بالجهود الدؤوبة التي بذلها الذين عملوا شهورا طوالا لجعل انعقاده ممكنا، وفي مقدمتهم اﻷمين العام السيد كوفي عنان، " عراف السلام " ، كما وصفته إحدى الصحف اﻹيطالية، الذي استقطبت دعوته عددا كبيرا من الضيوف البارزين.

In the face of attempts to undermine the stability of the country, the Council encourages all parties in Lebanon to demonstrate renewed unity and determination to resist a slide into conflict and commends in this regard the continued efforts of President Sleiman to preserve the unity and stability of Lebanon and underlines that continued broad political support is needed for the institutions of the State.
وإزاء محاولات تقويض استقرار البلد، يشجع المجلس جميع الأطراف في لبنان على إظهار وحدة وتصميم متجددين لمقاومة الانزلاق في النزاع ويشيد في هذا الصدد بالجهود الدؤوبة التي يبذلها الرئيس سليمان للحفاظ على وحدة لبنان واستقراره، ويؤكد ضرورة مواصلة توفير الدعم السياسي الواسع النطاق لمؤسسات الدولة.
