In its resolution 18/11, the Human Rights Council mandated the Special Rapporteur to provide information on human rights issues relating to transnational corporations and other business enterprises regarding environmentally sound management and disposal of hazardous substances and wastes (para. 3 (a)).

9. Requests the Working Group on Indigenous Populations to gather the views of indigenous peoples and indigenous organizations and communities as well as other interested parties to supplement the Commentary on the Norms and/or to draft a new set of principles which would include further references to indigenous concerns and rights with regard to transnational corporations and other business enterprises;
9- تطلب إلى الفريق العامل المعني بالسكان الأصليين أن يجمع آراء الشعوب الأصلية ومنظمات ومجتمعات السكان الأصليين والأطراف الأخرى المعنية استكمالاً للتعليق على القواعد و/أو صياغة مجموعة مبادئ جديدة تتضمن مزيداً من الإشارات إلى شواغل وحقوق السكان الأصليين فيما يتعلق بالشركات عبر الوطنية وغيرها من مؤسسات الأعمال؛
