The Code on Children and Adolescents was being modified to comply with the Constitution and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The Ombudsman's Office says there is a need to bring the Code on Children and Adolescents into line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child with regard to the entire criminal proceedings for young offenders.

27- وبالمثل، ووفقاً لأحكام المادتين 48 و49 من القانون رقم 136-03، تم في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2011 إصدار المبادئ التوجيهية المتعلقة بالسياسة إزاء الطفولة المبكرة إلى جانب نظام المؤشرات الإحصائية الخاصة بالطفل والمراهق في الجمهورية الدومينيكية وذلك بغرض تسجيل وتخزين ومعالجة البيانات المفصلة والموحدة، الكمية منها والنوعية، بما يتفق مع الفقرتين (و) و(ز) من المادة 434 من القانون المذكور.
