My delegation is supportive of the President in his determination to devote special attention to the coordinated and integrated follow-up of the outcomes of these major United Nations international conferences, including the Millennium Summit, as the President has stated in his statement last Friday.
ويؤيد وفد بلدي الرئيس في تصميمه على تكريس اهتمام خاص بالمتابعة المنسقة والمتكاملة لنتائج مؤتمرات الأمم المتحدة الدولية الكبرى، بما فيها مؤتمر قمة الألفية، كما قال الرئيس في بيانه يوم الجمعة الماضي.

We reaffirm that the General Assembly should be further strengthened as the highest intergovernmental mechanism for the formulation and appraisal of policy on matters relating to coordinated and integrated follow-up to the major United Nations conferences and summits in the economic, social and related fields.
ونؤكد مجددا أنه ينبغي زيادة تعزيز الجمعية العامة بوصفها الآلية الحكومية الدولية الأعلى لصياغة وتقييم السياسات بشأن المسائل المتصلة بالمتابعة المنسقة والمتكاملة للمؤتمرات الرئيسية ومؤتمرات القمة التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة في الميدانين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والميادين المتصلة بهما.

وإذ تكرر تأكيد ضرورة تعزيز دور الجمعية العامة بوصفها أعلى آلية حكومية دولية تتولى صياغة وتقييم السياسات بشأن المسائل المتصلة بالمتابعة المنسقة والمتكاملة للمؤتمرات ومؤتمرات القمة التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة في المجالين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والميادين ذات الصلة،

The task force collaborates closely with the United Nations Statistics Division and other statistics offices, including those in the regional commissions, thereby strengthening links to mainstream producers of statistics, and to their work on coordinated and integrated follow-up to United Nations conferences in the field of statistics and indicators.
وتتعاون فرقة العمل على نحو وثيق مع الشعبة الإحصائية في الأمم المتحدة والمكاتب الإحصائية الأخرى بما فيها اللجان الإقليمية مما عزز بالتالي من علاقاتها بمصادر الإحصاءات الرئيسية وعملها في ما يتعلق بالمتابعة المنسقة والمتكاملة لمؤتمرات الأمم المتحدة في مجال الإحصاءات والمؤشرات.

The Council, in exercising its overall coordination and management role, especially with regard to coordinated and integrated follow-up to United Nations conferences and summits, has provided clear guidance with respect to achieving the goals of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session.
وإن المجلس في إطار ممارسته لدوره التنسيقي والإداري عموما، وخاصة فيما يتعلق بالمتابعة المنسقة والمتكاملة للمؤتمرات ومؤتمرات القمة التي تعقدها الأمم المتحدة، قد قدم توجيها واضحا فيما يتعلق ببلوغ أهداف إعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين ونتائج الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين.

The objective of furthering the implementation of the United Nations Millennium Declaration and promoting the coordinated and integrated follow-up to conference outcomes shaped the orientation and evolution of all aspects of the programme and the support provided by the programme to the Economic and Social Council and its functional commissions.
وكان الهدف المتمثل في تعزيز تنفيذ إعلان الأمم المتحدة للألفية والنهوض بالمتابعة المنسقة والمتكاملة لنواتج المؤتمرات هو العنصر الذي شكل توجهات وتطورات جميع جوانب البرنامج، والدعم المقدم من البرنامج إلى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ولجانه الفنية.

Reports submitted by the subsidiary, regional and related bodies of the Council provide it with a wealth of information and policy inputs relevant to not only the coordinated and integrated follow-up of the development agenda, but also for policy guidance, national development strategy formulation, evaluation and international cooperation.
ذلك أن التقارير التي تقدمها هيئات المجلس الفرعية التابعة له والإقليمية وذات الصلة تمدُّ المجلس بثروة هائلة من المعلومات ومدخلات السياسة العامة ذات الصلة بها بالمتابعة المنسقة والمتكاملة لجدول الأعمال الإنمائي فحسب ولكن بتقديم التوجيه على صعيد السياسات العامة ولصوغ الاستراتيجية الإنمائية الوطنية وتقييمها وبالتعاون الدولي أيضا.

Reporting by the subsidiary bodies, regional commissions and related bodies to the Council should provide it with analyses and policy inputs that bear directly on the coordinated and integrated follow-up to the outcomes of the conferences and summits and are relevant to policy guidance, national development strategy formulation and evaluation and international cooperation to advance the internationally agreed development goals.
وينبغي أن يوفر الإبلاغ الذي تقوم به الهيئات الفرعية واللجان الإقليمية والهيئات الأخرى ذات الصلة التابعة للمجلس تحليلات ومدخلات من أجل المجلس تتعلق مباشرة بالمتابعة المنسقة والمتكاملة لنتائج المؤتمرات ومؤتمرات القمة وتكون ذات صلة بالتوجيه فيما يتعلق بالسياسات ووضع الاستراتيجيات الإنمائية الوطنية والتقييم والتعاون الدولي لتحقيق الأهداف الإنمائية المتفق عليها دوليا.
