UNODC was called upon to continue working on the Model Treaty for the prevention of crimes that infringe on the cultural heritage of peoples in the form of movable property, with particular attention to aspects of international cooperation and recognizing the priority of the Organized Crime Convention as the basis for such international cooperation.
ودُعي المكتب إلى مواصلة جهوده المتعلقة بالمعاهدة النموذجية لمنع جرائم انتهاك التراث الثقافي للشعوب الموروث في شكل ممتلكات منقولة، مع الاهتمام خصوصا بجوانب التعاون الدولي والاعتراف بأولوية اتفاقية الجريمة المنظَّمة كأساس لذلك التعاون الدولي.

It was noted for example, that since the development of the Model Treaty, the United States has concluded many bilateral treaties on protection of cultural property without reference to the Model Treaty as a basis for negotiations and to its knowledge, none of the negotiating parties were guided by the Model Treaty.

The Meeting recommended revising article 4, paragraph 1 (d), of the Model Treaty on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters to reflect the consensus that had been reached on it.
وأوصى الاجتماع بتنقيح الفقرة ١)د( من المادة ٤ بالمعاهدة النموذجية لتبادل المساعدة في المسائل الجنائية ﻹبراز توافق اﻵراء الذي تم التوصل إليه بهذا الشأن.

Recalling the Model Treaty on Extradition adopted by the General Assembly in its resolution 45/116 of 14 December 1990 and annexed thereto,
واذ تذكر بالمعاهدة النموذجية بشأن تسليم المجرمين التي اعتمدتها الجمعية العامة بموجب قرارها ٥٤/٦١١ المؤرخ في ٤١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٠٩٩١ والمرفقة بذلك القرار ،

The workshop was intended to formulate recommendations aimed at implementing a resolution on the Model Treaty for the prevention of crimes against movable cultural property and a resolution on the use of automated information exchange to combat crimes against movable cultural property, adopted by the Eighth United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, which was held in 1990.
وكان الغرض من حلقة العمل وضع توصيات تهدف الى تنفيذ قرار يتعلق بالمعاهدة النموذجية لمنع الجرائم في حق الممتلكات الثقافية القابلة للنقل وقرار بشأن استعمال تبادل البيانات اﻵلي لمكافحة الجرائم في حق الممتلكات الثقافية القابلة للنقل، اعتمدهما مؤتمر الامم المتحدة الثامن لمنع الجريمة ومعاملة المجرمين، المعقود في عام ١٩٩٠.

Speakers recognized that the provisions included in the Optional Protocol to the Model Treaty on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters concerning the proceeds of crime (General Assembly resolution 45/117, annex) were extremely useful in that regard.
وسلم المتحدثون بان اﻷحكام الواردة في البروتوكول الاختياري الملحق بالمعاهدة النموذجية لتبادل المساعدة في المسائل الجنائية فيما يتعلق بعائدات الجريمة )قرار الجمعية العامة ٥٤/٧١١، المرفق( مفيدة للغاية في هذا الخصوص.

The Manual on the Model Treaty on Extradition and the Manual on the Model Treaty on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters were reviewed by an intergovernmental expert group meeting, organized by UNODC, in cooperation with the International Association of Penal Law and the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences and its Monitoring Centre on Organized Crime.
