ويُقترح أيضا عملا بالممارسة المتبعة في انتخاب قضاة محكمة العدل الدولية، أنه إذا حصل أكثر من 18 مرشحا على أغلبية مطلقة من الأصوات في الاقتراع الأول، يُعقد اقتراع ثان على جميع المرشحين ويستمر الاقتراع في الجلسة ذاتهــــا، إذا لــــزم الأمــــر، إلى أن يحصل 18 مرشحا، لا أكثر، على أغلبية مطلقة.

It is further suggested that, following the practice in the election of the judges of the International Court of Justice, if more than 14 candidates obtain an absolute majority of votes in the first ballot, a second ballot will be held on all candidates and balloting will continue at the same meeting until 14 candidates, and no more, have obtained an absolute majority.
ويقترح أيضا، عملا بالممارسة المتبعة في انتخاب قضاة محكمة العدل الدولية، أنه إذا حصل أكثر من 14 مرشحا على أغلبية مطلقة من الأصوات في الاقتراع الأول، سيجري اقتراع ثانٍ على كل المرشحين، على أن يستمر الاقتراع في نفس الجلسة حتى يحصل 14 مرشحا، لا أكثر، على أغلبية مطلقة.

It is further suggested that, following the practice in the election of the judges of the International Court of Justice, if more than 11 candidates obtain an absolute majority of votes in the first ballot, a second ballot will be held on all candidates, and balloting will continue at the same meeting, if and as necessary, until 11 candidates, and no more, have obtained an absolute majority.
ويُقترح بالإضافة إلى ما تقدم، عملا بالممارسة المتبعة في انتخاب قضاة محكمة العدل الدولية، أنه إذا حدث في الاقتراع الأول أن حصل عدد من المرشحين على الأغلبية المطلقة يزيد على الأحد عشر مرشحا، يجري اقتراع ثان على جميع المرشحين، ويستمر الاقتراع في الجلسة ذاتها، إذا اقتضت الضرورة ذلك، إلى أن يحصل 11 مرشحا فقط، على الأغلبية المطلقة.
