CARICOM delegations associate themselves with the statements delivered earlier by the Permanent Representative of Yemen on behalf of the Group of 77 and China and by the Prime Minister of Grenada on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States.

At the outset, let me say that Jamaica aligns itself with the statements delivered by the representatives of Antigua and Barbuda on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, of Grenada on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) and, of course, of Barbados on behalf of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

Therefore, we stand with developing countries everywhere, and we fully support the positions to be expressed here by His Majesty the King of Morocco on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, and by His Excellency the Prime Minister of Mauritius on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States.

His delegation endorsed the statement made by Trinidad and Tobago on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States, in particular their appeal for financial assistance.
٨٣ - واسترسل قائلا إن وفده يؤيد البيان الذي أدلى به ممثل ترينيداد وتوباغو بالنيابة عن تحالف الدول الجزرية الصغيرة، ولا سيما مناشدتها لتقديم المساعدة المالية.

Pursuant to the decision, the protocol proposal submitted on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States to the Conference, in accordance with article 17 of the Convention, along with other proposals and pertinent documents, should be included for consideration in the process.
