The Committee noted with appreciation that the first United Nations Expert Meeting on the Human Space Technology Initiative would be held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, in the fourth quarter of 2011 and expressed its appreciation to the Government of Malaysia, the National Space Agency of Malaysia and the National University of Malaysia for acting as host to and supporting that meeting.

The Committee noted with appreciation that the Unidroit Governing Council had held its ninetieth session from 9 to 11 May 2011 in Rome and had authorized the transmission of the preliminary draft protocol for adoption by a diplomatic conference, which is planned to be held in the first quarter of 2012.
196- ولاحظت اللجنة بتقدير أنَّ مجلس إدارة المعهد الدولي لتوحيد القانون الخاص (اليونيدروا) الذي عقد دورته التاسعة عشرة من 9 إلى 11 أيار/مايو 2011 في روما قد أذن بإحالة المشروع الأولي للبروتوكول إلى مؤتمر دبلوماسي لكي يعتمده، وهو مؤتمر من المزمع عقده في الربع الأول من عام 2012.

The Committee noted with appreciation that some States were already implementing space debris mitigation measures, consistent with the Space Debris Mitigation Guidelines of the Committee and/or the Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee (IADC) Space Debris Mitigation Guidelines, and that other States had developed their own space debris mitigation standards based on those guidelines.
108- ولاحظت اللجنة بتقدير أنَّ بعض الدول تنفِّذ فعلاً تدابير لتخفيف الحطام الفضائي تتَّسق مع المبادئ التوجيهية لتخفيف الحطام الفضائي الصادرة عن اللجنة و/أو عن لجنة التنسيق المشتركة بين الوكالات والمعنية بالحطام الفضائي، وأنَّ دولاً أخرى قد وضعت معاييرَ خاصَّةً بها لتخفيف الحطام الفضائي استناداً إلى تلك المبادئ التوجيهية.

The Committee noted with appreciation that the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG) continued to make significant progress towards the goals of encouraging compatibility and interoperability among global and regional space-based positioning, navigation and timing systems and promoting the use of GNSS and their integration into infrastructures, particularly in developing countries.
118- ولاحظت اللجنة بتقدير أنَّ اللجنة الدولية المعنية بالنظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة (اللجنة الدولية) تواصل إحراز تقدُّم كبير صوب بلوغ الأهداف المتمثّلة في تشجيع التوافق وإمكانية التشغيل المتبادل للنظم الفضائية العالمية والإقليمية لتحديد المواقع والملاحة والتوقيت، وفي الترويج لاستخدام النظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة وإدماجها في البنى التحتية، ولا سيما في البلدان النامية.

The Working Group noted with appreciation that many States parties had shared information on their initiatives and good practices on the topics considered, namely: awareness-raising policies and practices with special reference to articles 5, 7, 12 and 13 of the Convention; and the public sector and prevention of corruption: codes of conduct (article 8 of the Convention) and public reporting (article 10 of the Convention).
13- ولاحظ الفريقُ العامل بتقدير أنَّ كثيراً من الدول الأطراف تبادلت معلومات عن مبادراتها وممارساتها الجيدة المتعلقة بالمواضيع التي تم النظر فيها، أي: سياسات وممارسات إذكاء الوعي، مع الإشارة بوجه خاص إلى المواد 5 و7 و12 و13 من الاتفاقية؛ والقطاع العام ومنع الفساد: مدونات قواعد السلوك (المادة 8 من الاتفاقية) وإبلاغ الناس (المادة 10 من الاتفاقية).
