6. The Committee notes that the persistence of certain traditions and cultural attitudes in Jamaica are serious impediments to the full enjoyment by women, girls and boys of their rights under the Covenant.

The Committee is also concerned that the concept of permanent trusteeship over the Indian and Alaska native tribes and their land as well as the actual exercise of this trusteeship in managing the socalled Individual Indian Money (IIM) accounts may infringe upon the full enjoyment of their rights under the Covenant.
ويساور اللجنة القلق أيضاً لأن مفهوم الوصاية الدائمة على القبائل الهندية والقبائل الأصلية في آلاسكا وأراضيها، وكذلك الممارسة الفعلية لهذه الوصاية في إدارة ما يسمى بالحسابات الفردية لأموال القبائل الهندية قد ينتهك حق هؤلاء الأفراد في التمتع الكامل بحقوقهم بموجب العهد.

The State party should ensure that there are effective measures of protection to enable members of indigenous Amerindian communities to participate in decisions which affect them and to enforce their right to enjoy their rights under the Covenant.
380- ويجب على الدولة الطرف أن تكفل وجود تدابير حماية فعالة لتمكين أفراد المجتمعات المحلية الأصلية من الهنود الأمريكيين من المشاركة في اتخاذ القرارات التي تؤثر عليهم وفي إعمال حقهم في التمتع بحقوقهم بموجب العهد.

It notes in addition that the lengths of stay authorized to enable illegal aliens who have lodged complaints to complete proceedings to assert their rights under the Covenant remain at the discretion of the Aliens Office (arts. 2 and 26).
وتلاحظ فضلاً عن ذلك أن مدة الإقامة التي تمنح للشاكين الأجانب ممن هم في وضع غير قانوني لإتمام الإجراءات المتخذة للمطالبة بحقوقهم بموجب العهد لا تزال رهن تقدير مكتب الأجانب (المادتان 2 و26).

9. The Committee remains concerned that, despite the measures taken to ensure the reintegration of Crimean Tatars into society and the progress made, Crimean Tatars continue to be discriminated against and face difficulties in the enjoyment of their rights under the Covenant (art. 2, para. 2).
9- لا تزال اللجنة تشعر بالقلق لأنه على الرغم من التدابير المتخذة لضمان إعادة إدماج تتار القرم في المجتمع والتقدم المحرز في هذا الصدد، فإن تتار القرم لا يزالون يعانون من التمييز ويواجهون صعوبات في التمتع بحقوقهم بموجب العهد (الفقرة 2 من المادة 2).

(a) Welcomes the principle of an individual communications procedure under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and believes that individuals will thus familiarize themselves better with their rights under the Covenant with a view to seeking redress directly.
(أ) ترحب بمبدأ وضع إجراء لتقديم بلاغات فردية في إطار العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، وترى أن الأفراد سيكونون بالتالي على علم أفضل بحقوقهم بموجب العهد بغية التماس الانتصاف مباشرة.

(8) While welcoming the adoption of the Programme for Roma Integration into Lithuanian Society and the oral information provided by the delegation on the achievements of the first phase of the Programme, the Committee continues to be concerned about the social and economic situation of the Roma minority and its impact on the full enjoyment of their rights under the Covenant.

28. In relation to the report submitted by Poland (CCPR/C/POL/CO/6), the Committee observed that the State party should continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the practical enjoyment by the Roma of their rights under the Covenant by implementing and reinforcing effective measures to prevent and address discrimination and the serious social and economic situation of the Roma.
28- لاحظت اللجنة، في إطار نظرها في التقرير المقدم من بولندا (CCPR/C/POL/CO/6)، أنه ينبغي للدولة الطرف أن تستمر في اتخاذ جميع التدابير الضرورية لضمان تمتع جماعة أفراد الروما تمتعاً فعلياً بحقوقهم بموجب العهد عن طريق تنفيذ وتعزيز التدابير الفعالة الرامية إلى منع التمييز ومعالجة وضعهم الاقتصادي والاجتماعي الحرج.
