1. Requests the administering Power, bearing in mind the views of the people of the Territory ascertained through a democratic process, to keep the Secretary-General informed of the wishes and aspirations of the people regarding their future political status;
١ - تطلب إلى الدولة القائمة باﻹدارة، آخذة في الاعتبار آراء شعب اﻹقليم التي جرى التحقق منها من خلال عملية ديمقراطية، أن تُبقي اﻷمين العام على علم برغبات وتطلعات هذا الشعب فيما يتعلق بوضعه السياسي في المستقبل؛

٢ - تطلب أيضا من الدولة القائمة باﻹدارة، آخذة في الاعتبار آراء شعب اﻹقليم التي جرى التحقق منها من خلال عملية ديمقراطية، أن تبقي اﻷمين العام على علم برغبات وتطلعات الشعب فيما يتعلق بوضعه السياسي في المستقبل؛

Mindful also that, in order for the Special Committee to enhance its understanding of the political status of the peoples of the Territories and to fulfil its mandate effectively, it is important for it to be apprised by the administering Powers and to receive information from other appropriate sources, including the representatives of the Territories, concerning the wishes and aspirations of the peoples of the Territories,
وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أيضا أن اللجنة الخاصة، كي تتمكن من تعزيز فهمها للمركز السياسي لشعوب هذه الأقاليم ومن الاضطلاع بالولاية المناطة بها اضطلاعا فعالا تحتاج، إلى الاطلاع من جهة على الحقائـق المتوافرة لدى الدول القائمة بإدارة الأقاليم، وإلى الاستحصال من جهة أخرى على معلومـات من مصادر مناسبة أخرى، بمن فيها ممثلو الأقاليم، فيما يتعلق برغبات وتطلعات شعوب هذه الأقاليم،

وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أيضا أنه من الأهمية بمكان، كي تتمكن اللجنة الخاصة من تعزيز فهمها للمركز السياسي لشعوب هذه الأقاليم ومن الاضطلاع بالولاية المناطة بها اضطلاعا فعالا، أن تطلع على الحقائـق المتوافرة لدى الدول القائمة بإدارة الأقاليم، وأن تحصل على المعلومات من المصادر المناسبة الأخرى، بمن فيها ممثلو الأقاليم، فيما يتعلق برغبات وتطلعات شعوب هذه الأقاليم،
