The United Nations Collaborative Partnership for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation is one example where efforts are being made to consult and include indigenous peoples, in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
