ولا تفرض عقوبة الإعدام أو السجن مدى الحياة بسبب جرائم يرتكبها أشخاص تقل أعمارهم عن ثماني عشرة سنة دون وجود إمكانية للإفراج عنهم؛

Neither capital punishment nor life imprisonment without possibility of release shall be imposed for offences committed by persons below 18 years of age;
ولا تفرض عقوبة الإعدام أو السجن مدى الحياة بسبب جرائم يرتكبها أشخاص تقل أعمارهم عن ثماني عشرة سنة دون وجود إمكانية للإفراج عنهم؛

Under article 37 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, no child may be subjected to torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment and neither capital punishment nor life imprisonment may be imposed for offences committed by persons below 18 years of age.

٧٤١ - يرجى تقديم معلومات عن التدابير المتخذة على المستوى التشريعي وغيره من المستويات لضمان عدم فرض عقوبة الاعدام أو السجن مدى الحياة بسبب جرائم يرتكبها أشخاص تقل أعمارهم عن ٨١ سنة دون وجود إمكانية للافراج عنهم.

Article 37 (a), sentence 2, of the present Convention repeats the prohibition of imposition of capital punishment for offences committed by persons under 18 years of age; this corresponds to the guarantee laid down in article 6, paragraph 5, of the Covenant.
وتكرر الجملة الثانية من المادة ٧٣)أ( من هذه الاتفاقية حظر فرض عقوبة اﻹعدام بسبب جرائم يرتكبها أشخاص تقل أعمارهم عن ٨١ سنة؛ ويقابل هذا الحظر الضمان المنصوص عليه في الفقرة ٥ من المادة ٦ من العهد.

In its guarantees, the present Convention goes beyond the Covenant in so far as in article 37 (a), sentence 2, provision is also made for prohibiting the imposition of life imprisonment without the possibility of earlier release for offences committed by persons under 18 years of age.
وتتجاوز الاتفاقية الحالية في ضماناتها العهد من حيث أن الجملة الثانية من المادة ٧٣)أ( تنص أيضا على حظر الحكم بالسجن المؤبد بسبب جرائم يرتكبها أشخاص تقل أعمارهم عن ٨١ سنة دون وجود إمكانية للافراج عنهم.
