The Commission noted both the high priority that the executive heads accorded to this matter and the recent decision of ACC on staff security in which ACC had reaffirmed, inter alia, its commitment to sparing no effort to improve the security of staff members of the United Nations system.

68. ACC adopted a statement on staff security (see annex IV below) and urged that its implementation be given urgent attention by its subsidiary bodies concerned and within the system as a whole.

The Department of Safety and Security will continue to amplify its efforts on (a) enhancing collaboration and dialogue between the United Nations and Member States on staff security and promoting best practices; and (b) establishing effective mechanisms, at the country level, between United Nations designated officials and the host country authorities for information exchange, risk analysis and decisions related to security issues.
52 - وستواصل إدارة شؤون السلامة والأمن مضاعفة جهودها في المجالات التالية: (أ) تعزيز التعاون والحوار بين الأمم المتحدة والدول الأعضاء بشأن أمن الموظفين والتشجيع على اتباع أفضل الممارسات؛ (ب) إنشاء آليات فعالة، على الصعيد القطري، بين مسؤولي الأمم المتحدة المكلفين بالملف الأمني وسلطات البلدان المضيفة من أجل تبادل المعلومات وتحليل المخاطر واتخاذ القرارات المتصلة بالمسائل الأمنية.
