On 6 July, the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and the Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator briefed the Council on the second report of the Emergency Relief Coordinator submitted pursuant to paragraph 5 of Security Council resolution 1972 (2011) (S/2012/546).

The Committee urges the State party to take all necessary measures to address those recommendations from the concluding observations on the second report that have not yet been implemented or sufficiently implemented, including those related in particular to the definition of the child, the allocation of resources for children, early and forced marriages, ill-treatment of children in police stations, child abuse and neglect, and child labour.
