The Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances adopted a general comment on enforced disappearance as a continuous crime and a general comment on the right to the truth in relation to enforced disappearances.

During the sixty-first session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, aside from the traditional focus on issues of impunity, and reparation and enforced disappearance, ICJ made oral interventions following a new initiative at the Commission; a resolution on the right to truth.
