I. Decision 42/I. General recommendation No. 26, on women migrant workers

The Committee adopted general recommendation No. 26, on women migrant workers. (See annex I to part one of the present report.)
اعتمدت اللجنة توصيتها العامة رقم 26 بشأن العاملات المهاجرات (انظر المرفق الأول بالجزء الأول من هذا التقرير).

" Noting with appreciation the elaboration and adoption by the Committee, at its forty-second session, of general recommendation No. 26 on women migrant workers " ;

33. In its resolution 68/137 on violence against women migrant workers, the General Assembly encouraged States parties to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women to take note of and consider the Committee's general recommendation No. 26 on women migrant workers when addressing the issue of women migrant workers.

18. A general recommendation on women migrant workers adopted by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in 2008 addresses a number of human rights challenges faced by this group in the administration of justice, including vulnerability in detention, and access to justice.
18- وثمة توصية عامة بشأن العاملات المهاجرات اعتمدتها لجنة القضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة في عام 2008 تعالج عدداً من التحديات المتصلة بحقوق الإنسان التي تواجهها هذه الفئة في مجال إقامة العدل، ومنها الضعف أثناء الاحتجاز()، ومسألة الوصول إلى العدالة().

(b) Revoke its policies with regard to cancellation of work permits for migrant workers in cases of childbirth, marriage and intimate relationships, in accordance with the State party's obligations under the Convention and the Committee's general recommendation No. 26 on women migrant workers.
