Recalling resolution II/4 D of the International Conference on Chemicals Management on hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products,

Acknowledging the successful realization of an international workshop on hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products and the fruitful discussions held in the context of regional Strategic Approach meetings in 2011,
وإذ يحيط علما بالإنجاز الناجح لحلقة عمل دولية بشأن المواد الخطرة في دورة حياة المنتجات الكهربائية والإلكترونية، وبالمناقشات المثمرة التي دارت في سياق الاجتماعات الإقليمية المعنية بالنهج الاستراتيجي التي عقدت في عام 2011،

Encourages all stakeholders to consider the recommendations and key messages on hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products made by the participants at the above-mentioned workshop when deciding which further actions to take;

118. The Conference decided that the contact group working on lead in paints and chemicals in products would also take up the draft resolution text on hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products in an effort to agree on final text.

Participants in the fourth African regional meeting, held in Nairobi from 5 to 8 April 2011, considered the outcomes of an international workshop on hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products, held in Vienna from 29 to 31 March 2011.

Subsequently, the Working Group adopted decision OEWG.1/3 C on hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products (see sect. IV), which forms part of an omnibus decision on emerging policy issues for the consideration of the Conference.

The addendum to the note by the secretariat (SAICM/ICCM.3/INF/4/Rev.1/Add.1) sets out the annotated revised proposal showing the areas with regard to which comments were received in relation to the proposal for the addition of a new work area and activities on hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products.
وتحدد الإضافة لمذكرة الأمانة (SAICM/ICCM.3/INF/4/Rev.1/Add.1) المقترح المفصل المنقح الذي يبين المجالات التي تلقت الأمانة تعليقات بشأنها بالإضافة إلى المقترح الخاص بإضافة مجال عمل جديد وأنشطة بشأن المواد الخطرة في دورة حياة المنتجات الكهربائية والإلكترونية.

119. Regarding the proposal by the African group of countries to add a new work area and activities on hazardous substances within the life cycle of electrical and electronic products to the Global Plan of Action (see SAICM/ICCM.3/3), one representative, speaking on behalf of African countries, urged the Conference to approve the proposal.
119- وفيما يتعلق باقتراح مجموع البلدان الأفريقية إضافة مجال عمل جديد وأنشطة جديدة بشأن المواد الخطرة في دورة حياة المنتجات الكهربائية والإليكترونية إلى خطة العمل العالمية (أنظر SAICM/ICCM.3/3)، طلب أحد الممثلين الذي تحدث نيابة عن مجموعة بلدان من المؤتمر الموافقة على الاقتراح.
