Notes the invitation by the Commission, in its resolution 2003/18 of 22 April 2003, to all special rapporteurs whose mandates deal with the realization of economic, social and cultural rights to share their views individually on an optional protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights;

15. Invites all Special Rapporteurs whose mandates deal with the realization of economic, social and cultural rights to share their views on an optional protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and to make recommendations thereon to the working group at its next session;
15- تدعو جميع المقررين الخاصين الذين تتناول الولايات المسندة إليهم إعمال الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية إلى الإدلاء بآرائهم بشأن بروتوكول اختياري يُلحق بالعهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، وإلى تقديم توصيات في هذا الشأن إلى الفريق العامل في دورته القادمة؛

1. The Human Rights Council in its resolution 1/3 requested the Chairperson-Rapporteur of the Working Group to prepare a first draft optional protocol to be used as a basis for the negotiations on an optional protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
1- طلب مجلس حقوق الإنسان، في قراره 1/3، إلى الرئيسة - المقررة للفريق العامل أن تعد مشروعاً أولياً لبروتوكول اختياري لاعتماده كأساس للمفاوضات بشأن بروتوكول اختياري للعهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية.

My delegation therefore has the honour to request that item 110 of the provisional agenda of the fifty-fourth regular session of the General Assembly (A/54/150), entitled “Advancement of women”, be also allocated to the plenary for the sole purpose of taking action on the draft resolution on an optional protocol to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

109 - ويعيِّن المنتدى الدائم السيدة سامبو - دورو والسيدة ديفيس، لإجراء دراسة بشأن بروتوكول اختياري لإعلان الأمم المتحدة بشأن حقوق الشعوب الأصلية، يركز على آلية تطوعية محتملة تعمل بمثابة هيئة لتلقي الشكاوى على الصعيد الدولي، لا سيما المطالبات والخروقات بشأن حقوق الشعوب الأصلية في الأراضي والأقاليم والموارد على الصعيد المحلي.

The Chairperson advised the working group that she would present her proposal for an optional protocol by the end of the first week. She indicated that she intended to propose a system for the prevention of torture based on two pillars, i.e. an international mechanism combined with national mechanisms, based on the original Costa Rican proposal and the proposals presented by the GRULAC and the European Union, as she had been mandated to do.
