151. According to the financial report prepared by FAO on the status of the Assistance Fund, as at 31 December 2011, the total of the contributions, together with interest, amounted to $1,516,034.

Mr. Ndiaye (Director, New York Office, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)) introduced the Secretary-General's report on Implementation of the programme of activities for the Decade (A/55/268) as well as his biennial report on the status of the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Populations (A/55/202).

7. The report on the status of the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Populations (A/55/202) provided information about contributions and disbursements and he noted that financing had been more stable, with travel assistance having been provided to 95 indigenous representatives.

9. At its 36th meeting, on 5 November, on the proposal of the Chairman, the Committee decided to recommend to the General Assembly that it take note of the report of the Secretary-General on the status of the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Populations (A/53/282) (see para. 11).

Mr. Ndiaye (Director, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, New York Office), introducing the item, drew attention to the reports of the Secretary-General on the status of the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Populations (A/53/282) and on the programme of activities of the Decade (A/53/310).

8. The report of the Secretary-General on the status of the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery (A/59/309) included information on the financial status and activities of the Fund and contained the recommendations adopted by its Board of Trustees at its ninth session.

At its fifty-fifth session, the Commission on Human Rights, under its agenda item on vulnerable groups and individuals, had before it a note by the Secretariat supplementing and updating, as at 16 December 1998, the report of the Secretary-General on the status of the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery to the fifty-third session of the General Assembly.5

The report of the Secretary-General on the status of the United Nations Voluntary Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery (A/64/306 and Corr.1) provided figures in paragraphs 14 and 15 for the project grants recommended by the Board of Trustees of the Fund, and in paragraph 21 referred to the progress made in implementing the recommendations of the Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS).
