The government contributed to the ILO's revision process relating to Convention 103, which led to the adoption of Convention 183 on Maternity Protection.
وقد أسهمت الحكومة في عملية التنقيح التي قامت بها منظمة العمل الدولية للاتفاقية 103، مما أدى إلى إقرار الاتفاقية 183 بشأن حماية الأمومة.

Special attention had also been given to the coordination of the European Union's contribution to the Beijing+Five process and the review of the International Labour Organization Convention concerning Maternity Protection.

Since 1981 pregnant employees working full-time have started to benefit from a 13week maternity leave at full pay after provisions on Maternity Protection were introduced in the Conditions of Employment (Regulation) Act, 1952.

176. The State party has put in place a policy on Maternity Protection which provides for the protection of pregnant women during a reasonable period before and after childbirth (compulsory paid leave of 180 days).
176- لقد وضعت الدولة الطرف سياسة بشأن حماية الأمومة لتوفير الحماية للمرأة الحامل خلال فترة زمنية معقولة قبل الولادة وبعدها (إجازة إلزامية مدفوعة الأجر لمدة 180 يوماً).

This programme is implemented according to Article 4, paragraph 5, law 1302/82, by which the International Labour Convention 103 on " Maternity Protection " (1952) was ratified.

The international human rights framework is further complemented by labour standards, in particular International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions such as Convention No. 156 on workers with family responsibilities, Convention No. 183 on Maternity Protection, and Convention No. 189 concerning decent work for domestic workers.
10 - ومما يُعزَّز الإطار الدولي لحقوق الإنسان بصورة أكبر وجود معايير خاصة بالعمل، لا سيما اتفاقيات منظمة العمل الدولية مثل الاتفاقية رقم 156 المتعلقة بالعمال ذوي المسؤوليات الأسرية، والاتفاقية رقم 183 بشأن حماية الأمومة()، والاتفاقية رقم 189 بشأن العمل اللائق للعمال المنزليين.

We acknowledge and support the important steps taken by the adoption of International Labour Organization Conventions on Maternity Protection (n° 183, 2000), Workers with Family Responsibilities Convention, (No. 156, 1981), and the Workers with Family Responsibilities Recommendation, 1981 (No. 165); we strongly request their ratification and full implementation by all Member States.
ونقرّ وندعم الخطوات الهامة التي اُتخذت نتيجة اعتماد اتفاقيات منظمة العمل الدولية بشأن حماية الأمومة (رقم 183، 2000)، واتفاقية العمال ذوي المسؤوليات العائلية (رقم 156، 1981)، والتوصيات المتعلقة بالعمال ذوي المسؤوليات العائلية، 1981 (رقم 165)؛ ونطالب بقوة أن تصادق عليها جميع الدول الأعضاء وتنفذها بالكامل.
