1. The Economic and Social Council, in its resolution 1996/6 on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women, established the work programme of the Commission on the Status of Women, in particular the items to be included on the agenda of the Commission.
١ - اعتمد المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في قراره ١٩٩٦/٦ بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة برنامج عمل لجنة مركز المرأة، ولا سيما البنود التي ستدرج في جدول أعماله.

1. The Economic and Social Council, in its resolution 1996/6, on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women, established the work programme of the Commission on the Status of Women, in particular the items to be included on the agenda of the Commission.
1 - وضع المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، في قراره 1996/6 بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة، برنامج عمل لجنة مركز المرأة، وبخاصة البنود التي يجري إدراجها في جدول أعمال اللجنة.

The United Nations Information Centre in Beirut, in cooperation with the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, LAS and the United Nations Development Fund for Women, arranged several interviews during a regional meeting on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women.
وقام مركز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام في بيروت، بالتعاون مع اللجنة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لغربي آسيا والجامعة العربية وصندوق اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي للمرأة، بترتيب عدة مقابلات خلال اجتماع عقد بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة.

33. At the fifty-second session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific held in April 1996, resolution 52/3 on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women was adopted.
٣٣ - في الدورة الثانية والخمسين للجنة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية ﻵسيا والمحيط الهادئ المعقودة في نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٦، اتخذ القرار ٥٢/٣ بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة.

68. In its resolution 1996/6 of 22 July 1996, on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women, the Council further modified the terms of reference of the Commission.
٦٨ - وواصل المجلس، في قراره ١٩٩٦/٦ المؤرخ ٢٢ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٦ بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة، تعديل اختصاصات اللجنة.

1. The General Assembly at its fiftieth session adopted resolution 50/203 on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women and full implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
١ - اعتمدت الجمعية العامة، في دورتها الخمسين، القرار ٠٥/٣٠٢ بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة والتنفيذ التام ﻹعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين.

61. In its resolution 1996/6 of 22 July 1996, on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women, the Council further modified the terms of reference of the Commission.

The General Assembly adopted a resolution on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women and full implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (resolution 54/141 of 17 December 1999).
واعتمدت الجمعية العامة قرارا بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة والتنفيذ التام لإعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين (القرار 54/141 المؤرخ 17 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1999).

In section IV of resolution 1996/6 on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women, the Economic and Social Council adopted a multi-year work programme for the Commission for a focused and thematic approach, culminating in a quinquennial review and appraisal of the Platform for Action adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women.
وأقر المجلس في الجزء رابعا من القرار ١٩٩٦/٦ بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة، برنامج عمل متعدد السنوات للجنة ذا نهج محدد ومواضيعي يتوج باستعراض وتقييم خمسيين لتنفيذ منهاج العمل المعتمد في المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة.

Recalling its resolutions, in particular resolution 52/100 of 12 December 1997, on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women and full implementation of the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action, and agreed conclusions and relevant resolutions of the Commission on the Status of Women and the Economic and Social Council on the follow-up to the Conference,
إذ تشير إلى قراراتها، وبخاصة قرارها ٥٢/١٠٠ المؤرخ ١٢ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٧، بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة والتنفيذ التام ﻹعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين، وإلى الاستنتاجات المتفق عليها والقرارات ذات الصلة الصادرة عن لجنة مركز المرأة والمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي بشأن متابعة المؤتمر.

The Chairperson announced that Ms. Sarah Paterson, Vice-Chairperson of the Committee, would coordinate the consultations on the traditional Chairperson's draft resolution on " Follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women " .
أعلن الرئيس أن السيدة سارة باترسون، نائبة رئيس اللجنة، ستتولى تنسيق المشاورات بشأن مشروع القرار الذي اعتاد الرئيس تقديمه بشأن " متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة " .

26. On the same date, the General Assembly adopted resolution 64/141 on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women and full implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly.
26 - وفي التاريخ ذاته، اتخذت الجمعية العامة القرار 64/141 بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة والتنفيذ التام لإعلان ومنهاج عمل بيجين ونتائج الدورة الاستثنائية الثالثة والعشرين للجمعية العامة.

Based on the annual report of the Secretary-General on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women and on mainstreaming a gender perspective, the Council should monitor annually how its functional commissions and the regional commissions apply gender analysis to issues under consideration, including the integrated follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women and other global United Nations conferences.
واستنادا إلى التقرير السنوي لﻷمين العام بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة وبشأن إدماج منظور نوع الجنس في أوجه النشاط الرئيسية، ينبغي للمجلس أن يرصد سنويا مدى عمل لجانه الفنية واللجان اﻹقليمية بالتحليل المنطلق من منظور نوع الجنس فيما يتعلق بالمسائل المعروضة على نظرها، بما فيها مسألة المتابعة المتكاملة لمؤتمر القمة العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة وغيره من مؤتمرات اﻷمم المتحدة العالمية.

108. She thanked the Department for its coverage of the special session of the General Assembly on small island developing States, and hoped that coverage at a regional level would be given to the special session of the General Assembly on follow-up to the Fourth World Conference on Women, held in Beijing in 1995, and the World Summit for Social Development held in Copenhagen in the same year.
108 - وأعربت عن شكرها للإدارة على ما نشرته من معلومات عن الدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة بشأن الدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية، ومعربة عن أملها في أن تنشر معلومات على المستوى الإقليمي فيما يتعلق بالدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة بشأن متابعة المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة المعقود في بكين عام 1995 ومؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية المعقود في كوبنهاغن في نفس العام.
