18. The Tunis Agenda for the Information Society states the following:

The agenda of the meeting touched on a broad range of public policy issues related to the Internet, in line with the definition of Internet governance as set out in the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society.
وتطرق جدول الأعمال إلى طائفة واسعة من قضايا السياسات العامة المتصلة بالإنترنت، على نحو ما ورد في تعريف إدارة شؤون الإنترنت المبين في برنامج عمل تونس بشأن مجتمع المعلومات.

The Department of Public Information could play a key role in promoting the international community's awareness of the importance of the Tunis Commitment and the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society adopted by the World Summit on the Information Society.

A. Progress towards implementation of paragraph 71 of the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society

In recognition of the multi-stakeholder efforts needed at all levels to achieve the objectives of the Summit, the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society established clear mechanisms for implementation and follow-up at the national, regional and international levels.

3. The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) was requested by the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society to oversee the UN system-wide follow-up of the outcomes of the Geneva and Tunis Phases of the Summit.

Fifth, the international community should seize the opportunity of the Summit on the Information Society in 2005 to bridge the digital divide.

In conjunction with the Plenipotentiary Conference, the Government of Morocco organized a Forum on the Information Society.
