In the final communiqué issued after the meeting, the Committee called for strict compliance with the provisions of the 9 May and 21 June 2008 agreements and mandated the Mission de consolidation de la paix en Centrafique (MICOPAX), the regional peace force of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), to supervise the implementation of an immediate ceasefire.
