The Committee continued its efforts to overcome difficulties with regard to the approval process and speeding up the delivery of humanitarian supplies to Iraq and their distribution.
وواصلت اللجنة الاضطلاع بجهودها للتغلب على الصعوبات المتعلقة بعملية الموافقة على توريد وتوزيع الإمدادات الإنسانية للعراق والتعجيل بها.

A delegation requested the secretariat to continue consultations with the other Executive Committee agencies and to prepare common proposals for any changes in the approval process and further harmonization.
وطلب أحد الوفود من الأمانة مواصلة التشاور مع الوكالات الأخرى للجنة التنفيذية وإعداد مقترحات مشتركة لأي تغييرات تتعلق بعملية الموافقة وبإجراء المزيد من التنسيق.

18. The Committee has been making continuous efforts to expedite the approval process for contracts for sending oil spare parts and equipment to Iraq in accordance with existing procedures.
٨١ - وتبذل اللجنة جهودا متواصلة للتعجيل بعملية الموافقة على العقود المتعلقة بإرسال قطع الغيار والمعدات النفطية إلى العراق وفقا لﻹجراءات القائمة.

20. With respect to the approval process by the Security Council Committee, the period covered by the second distribution plan has been more productive than the first phase.
٢٠ - وفيما يتعلق بعملية الموافقة من جانب لجنة مجلس اﻷمن، كانت الفترة التي شملتها خطة التوزيع الثانية كانت أكثر إنتاجية من المرحلة اﻷولى.

18. The Committee has been making continuous efforts to expedite the approval process for contracts for sending oil spare parts and equipment to Iraq in accordance with existing procedures.
18 - وتبذل اللجنة جهودا مستمرة للتعجيل بعملية الموافقة على العقود المتعلقة بإرسال قطع الغيار والمعدات النفطية إلى العراق وفقا للترتيبات الراهنة.

4. With the adoption of Security Council resolution 1143 (1997) on 4 December 1997, the Committee started working on refining and clarifying its working procedures with a view to accelerating the approval process of applications to send humanitarian supplies to Iraq.
٤ - ومع اعتماد قرار مجلس اﻷمن ١١٤٣ )١٩٩٧( في ٤ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٧، شرعت اللجنة في العمل في تحسين وتوضيح اجراءات عملها بغية التعجيل بعملية الموافقة على طلبات إرسال اﻹمدادات اﻹنسانية الى العراق.

91. I welcome the efforts made by the Security Council Committee to refine and clarify its working procedures; I encourage the Committee to go further in that direction in order to expedite the approval process. The Secretariat stands ready to assist the Committee, as appropriate.
١٩ - وأرحب بالجهود التي تبذلها لجنة مجلس اﻷمن من أجل صقل وإيضاح إجراءات عملها، كما أشجع اللجنة على أن تمضي قدما في هذا الاتجاه من أجل التعجيل بعملية الموافقة علما بأن اﻷمانة العامة تقف على أهبة الاستعداد لمساعدة اللجنة على النحو الملائم.

9. Requests the Committee established by resolution 661 (1990) to continue, in close coordination with the Secretary-General, to refine and clarify working procedures in order to expedite the approval process and to report to the Council no later than 30 January 1998;
٩ - يطلب إلى اللجنة المنشأة بموجب القرار ٦٦١ )١٩٩٠( أن تواصل، بالتنسيق الوثيق مع اﻷمين العام، تحسين وتوضيح إجراءات عملها من أجل التعجيل بعملية الموافقة وأن تقدم تقريرا إلى المجلس في موعد أقصاه ٣٠ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٨؛

(a) The amendment of projects and programmes, where required, in order to bring them into line with the United Nations Development Assistance Framework, without prejudice to the approval process through the governing bodies;
