These materials provided the participants with an overview of the guidelines for preparing their national communications and the various applications of relevant tools and methodologies available.

One Party recommended that Parties should provide information in their national communications on the effectiveness and results of GEF country-relevant support for both enabling activities and other projects.

38- قدم اثنان وثمانون طرفاً من الأطراف غير المدرجة في المرفق الأول بعض المعلومات عن الحاجات والقيود المالية والتكنولوجية التي واجهوها في إعداد بلاغاتهم الوطنية وفي تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

Twenty-nine non-Annex I Parties which received assistance from at least one support programme and 18 Parties which received funding from two or more of these programmes, including from the GEF Enabling Activities Programme, have submitted their national communications.

20. Noting that they are also relevant and applicable to the process of the preparation of BURs, the participants shared their extensive country-specific experiences and lessons learned from preparing their national communications and from other reporting processes and provided feedback and recommendations on the following:
20- وتبادل المشاركون تجاربهم القُطرية الواسعة النطاق والدروس المستفادة من إعداد بلاغاتهم الوطنية ومن عمليات الإبلاغ مع الإشارة إلى أن هذه التجارب والدروس هامة ويمكن تطبيقها على عملية إعداد التقارير المحدثة لفترة السنتين وقدموا تعقيبات وتوصيات على ما يلي:

10. The fourth and fifth training workshops were aimed at building the capacity of national experts from the Latin America and Caribbean region and the Africa region to undertake mitigation assessment and to report it in their national communications.
10- وكان هدف حلقتي العمل التدريبيتين الرابعة والخامسة هو بناء قدرة الخبراء الوطنيين من منطقة أمريكا اللاتينية والكاريبي() ومنطقة أفريقيا() على إجراء تقييم التخفيف، والإفادة عنه في بلاغاتهم الوطنية.

3. In accordance with its work programme referred to in paragraph 2 above, the CGE held a hands-on training workshop for the Africa region on mitigation assessment, in Accra, Ghana, from 10 to 14 September 2012 with a view to enhancing the capacity of national experts from the region to conduct the mitigation assessment and report the results of this assessment in their national communications.
3- ونظم فريق الخبراء الاستشاري، وفقاً لبرنامج عمله المشار إليه في الفقرة 2 أعلاه، حلقة عمل تدريبية تطبيقية لمنطقة أفريقيا بشأن تقييم التخفيف عُقدت في أكرا، بغانا، في الفترة من 10 إلى 14 أيلول/سبتمبر 2012، وذلك من أجل رفع مستوى قدرة الخبراء الوطنيين من المنطقة على إجراء تقييم التخفيف والإبلاغ عن نتائج هذا التقييم في بلاغاتهم الوطنية.
