(16) The Committee welcomes that the State party adopted the principles of the European Union Code of Conduct on Arms Exports, but notes that - among these principles - there is no specific mention, as a criterion for excluding their sale, of the possible recruitment/use in hostilities of children in the country of final destination of the arms.

For all imports, exports and transhipments, checks are conducted on relevant documents such as the end user certificates, bills of lading, invoices and import licences issued by the competent authority of the final destination country.

It is also regrettable that there is a " market value " attached to refugees, who are exploited in a " chain-enchained " manner: at every step of the way from the borders of the country of origin to the final destination country, there is a chain of elements that seek to exploit the needs of refugees and their " worth " in a manner tantamount to slavery.
ومن المؤسف أيضاً أن هناك " قيمة سوقية " تعلق على اللاجئين الذين يستغلون بطريقة " القيد - الأسر " : في كل خطوة من الخطوات على الطريق من حدود البلد الأصلي وحتى بلد المقصد النهائي هناك سلسلة من العناصر تسعى إلى استغلال احتياجات اللاجئين و " قيمتهم " بطريقة هي بمثابة الاستعباد.

From information received, the former group is often more traumatized than the latter, as they have to endure a myriad of abuses for a long time before reaching the destination country, and may thus need long-term support.
