19. Mr. Dinstein (Israel) said that he shared the opinion of the Special Rapporteur and the International Law Commission that the General Assembly should take note of the draft articles on State responsibility and annex them to its resolution.

32. With regard to the draft articles on the effect of armed conflicts on treaties, his delegation noted with satisfaction that the Special Rapporteur on the topic had taken into account the comments of Member States, made during the debate or in writing.

As for the draft articles on the status of the diplomatic courier and the diplomatic bag not accompanied by diplomatic courier and of the draft optional protocols thereto, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Sixth Committee, decided to consider the matter again at its fiftieth session (decision 47/415 of 25 November 1992).

Mr. Dahmane (Algeria) said that his delegation had supported the approach adopted by the International Law Commission and followed by the Sixth Committee and the General Assembly in its resolution 63/124, namely to take note of the draft articles on the law of transboundary aquifers and to consider, at a later stage, the elaboration of a convention on the basis of the draft articles.

At its sixty-first session, the General Assembly took note of the draft articles on diplomatic protection, adopted by the International Law Commission at its fifty-eighth session, in 2006, and invited Governments to submit comments concerning the recommendation of the Commission that the Assembly elaborate a convention on the basis of the draft articles (resolution 61/35).

By its resolution 61/35 of 4 December 2006, the General Assembly took note of the draft articles on diplomatic protection presented by the Commission and invited Governments to submit comments concerning the recommendation by the Commission to elaborate a convention on the basis of the articles.
