The view was expressed that it was necessary to continue improving the Space Debris Mitigation Guidelines of the Committee and that the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee and the Legal Subcommittee should cooperate with the aim of developing legally binding rules relating to space debris, including debris derived from space platforms with nuclear power sources on board.
95- وأُبدي رأي مفاده أنَّ من الضروري مواصلة تحسين المبادئ التوجيهية الصادرة عن اللجنة بشأن التخفيف من الحطام الفضائي، وأنه ينبغي للجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية واللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن تتعاونا على وضع قواعد ملزمة قانونياً بشأن الحطام الفضائي، بما في ذلك الحطام الناتج عن المنصات الفضائية المزودة بمصادر قدرة نووية.

The Subcommittee had before it a note by the Secretariat and a conference room paper on national research on space debris, safety of space objects with nuclear power sources on board and problems relating to their collision with space debris, containing replies received from Member States on the issue (A/AC.105/931 and Add.1 and A/AC.105/C.1/2009/CRP.11).
67- وكان معروضا على اللجنة الفرعية مذكرة من الأمانة وورقة غرفة اجتماعات بشأن البحوث الوطنية المتعلقة بالحطام الفضائي وبأمان الأجسام الفضائية المزوّدة بمصادر قدرة نووية وبمشاكل اصطدامها بالحطام الفضائي، تتضمنان الردود الواردة من الدول الأعضاء بهذا الشأن (A/AC.105/931 وAdd.1 وA/AC.105/C.1/2009/CRP.11).
