Special attention should also be given, as recommended by the Inter-sessional Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Technology Transfer and Cooperation, to the involvement of small and medium-sized industries in the process of technology transfer as they are the backbone of business and industry in most developing countries.
وينبغي إيلاء اهتمام خاص كذلك، على نحو ما أوصى به الفريق العامل المخصص المفتوح العضوية المنعقد فيما بين الدورات والمعني بنقل التكنولوجيا والتعاون إلى إشراك الصناعات الصغيرة والمتوسطة في عملية نقل التكنولوجيـا بوصفها العمـود الفقري ﻷنشطة التجـارة والصناعة في البلدان النامية.

13. In adopting the programme of work on Technology Transfer and Cooperation, the Conference of the Parties sought to ensure that parties have, inter alia, the technological capacity to implement the Convention in line with the goals of the Strategic Plan and the commitments of Governments in the Plan of Implementation of the World Summit.
13 - وباعتماده برنامج العمل المعني بنقل التكنولوجيا والتعاون التكنولوجي، سعى مؤتمر الأطراف إلى كفالة حصول الأطراف، في جملة أمور، على القدرات التكنولوجية لتنفيذ الاتفاقية وفقا لأهداف الخطة الاستراتيجية ولالتزامات الحكومات الواردة في خطة التنفيذ التي أقرها مؤتمر القمة العالمي.

In this regard, the Commission welcomes the emphasis given by the Inter-sessional Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Technology Transfer and Cooperation to three key areas requiring priority attention, namely: (a) access to and dissemination of reliable information on environmentally sound technologies, (b) institutional development and capacity-building and (c) financial and partnership arrangements.
وفي هذا الصدد ترحب اللجنة بالاهتمام المولى من جانب الفريق العامل المخصص المفتوح العضوية المنعقد فيما بين الدورات والمعني بنقل التكنولوجيا والتعاون بالنسبة إلى ثلاثة من المجـالات اﻷساسـية التي تتطلب اهتماما ذا أولوية وهي: )أ( إتاحة ونشـر المعلومــات الموثــوقة عن التكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا، )ب( وتطوير المؤسسات وبناء القدرات، )ج( والترتيبات المالية وترتيبات المشاركة.

61. The European Commission intends to finance a joint European Commission/ Tunisia case-study on environmentally sound technology, applying the methodology adopted by the Commission on Sustainable Development's Inter-sessional Ad Hoc Open-Ended Working Group on Technology Transfer and Cooperation (see document E/CN.17/1994/11).
٦١ - وتعتزم اللجنة اﻷوروبية تمويل دراسة حالة إفرادية مشتركة بين تونس واللجنة اﻷوروبية بشأن التكنولوجيا السليمة بيئيا، تطبق فيها المنهجية التي اعتمدها الفريق العامل المخصص المفتوح باب العضوية الذي يتخلل الدورات المعني بنقل التكنولوجيا والتعاون التابع للجنة التنمية المستدامة. )انظر الوثيقة (E/CN.17/1994/11.
