Our greetings are also extended to the Secretary-General of the Conference and Personal Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Vladimir Petrovsky, and his experienced deputy, Mr. Abdelkader Bensmail.
ونقدم تحياتنا أيضا للأمين العام للمؤتمر وللممثل الشخصي للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، السيد فلاديمير بيتروفسكي، ونائبه المتمرس، السيد عبد القادر بن إسماعيل.

In so doing I shall once again rely on the wisdom and the support of all of my colleagues in this hall, as well as on the proven efficiency of our secretariat, led by SecretaryGeneral Vladimir Petrovsky and his deputy, Mr. Abdelkader Bensmail.

I would also like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament, Mr. Vladimir Petrovsky, and to the Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Abdelkader Bensmail.
كما أود أن اغتنم هذه الفرصة لكي أشيد بالأمين العام لمؤتمر نزع السلاح، السيد فلاديمير بتروفسكي، وبنائب الأمين العام السيد عبد القادر بن إسماعيل.

My congratulations also go to Mr. Petrovsky, Secretary—General of the Conference, and his deputy, Mr. Bensmail, for their willingness to assist and the impetus which they have always managed to give to the work of the Conference.
أوجه تهانيّ أيضا إلى السيد بتروفسكي الأمين العام للمؤتمر ونائبه السيد بن إسماعيل على استعدادهما للمساهمة وإعطاء الزخم الذي كانا دائما قادرين على إعطائه لعمل المؤتمر.

Finally, the secretariat, and especially Ambassador Petrovsky and his deputy Mr. Bensmail, have always assisted me with their experience and valuable advice, as has Mrs. Lewis and her UNIDIR team.
وأخيراً فإن أعضاء الأمانة، وخصوصا السفير بيتروفسكي ونائبه السيد بن إسماعيل قدموا لي دائماً يد المساعدة بخبراتهم ومشورتهم القيمة مثلما فعلت السيدة لويس وفريقها في معهد الأمم المتحدة لبحوث نزع السلاح.

However, before doing so, I wish to thank Secretary—General Vladimir Petrovsky, Deputy Secretary—General Abdelkader Bensmail and their excellent staff for their help and cooperation.
ولكن قبل أن أفعل ذلك أود أن أقدم الشكر للأمين العام فلاديمير بيتروفسكي ولنائب الأمين العام عبد القادر بن إسماعيل ولمجموعة الموظفين الممتازين الذين يعملون معهما لما قدموه من مساعدة وتعاون.

I would also like to convey my gratitude to your predecessors in this demanding post, who have shown remarkable devotion to the work of the Conference. I must also express my thanks to Mr. Vladimir Petrovsky, SecretaryGeneral of the Conference, to his deputy, Mr. Abdelkader Bensmail, and to all the secretariat officials for their willingness to help.
وأود أيضاً الاعراب عن امتناني لسلفكم في هذا المنصب العسر الذين أظهروا تفانياً مشهوداً في خدمة المؤتمر، كما يتعين عليّ الاعراب عن شكري للسيد فلاديمير بتروفسكي الأمين العام للمؤتمر ولنائبه السيد عبد القادر بن إسماعيل وجميع موظفي الأمانة على استعدادهم عن طيب خاطر لتقديم مساعدتهم.
