In Guyana, the Special Rapporteur met with the country's most senior officials, including the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Bharrat Jagdeo, Mr. Robert Corbin, head of the People's National Congress/Reform (PNC/R), the main opposition party, and leaders of the new party of indigenous Guyanese people, the Guyana Action Party.
