My delegation appreciates the work carried out by the Preparatory Committee of the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons with a view to stimulating the early ratification of the Convention.

27. Emphasis should be placed on the important role played by the Preparatory Commission, the non-governmental organizations and the numerous associations that had tirelessly advocated the creation of the Court.

ونعرب عن استمرار دعمنا للعمل الجوهري الذي تضطلع به اللجنة التحضيرية لمنظمة معاهدة الحظر الشامل من أجل وضع كافة العناصر لنظام التحقق في إطار المعاهدة، وبخاصة نظام الرصد الدولي وعمليات التفتيش الميداني.
