وأبلغ الرئيسُ اللجنةَ بأن السيد رشيد بيات مختاري (جمهورية إيران الإسلامية) سيتولى تنسيق مشاورات غير رسمية بشأن هذه المسألة.

50. Mr. Bayat Mokhtari (Islamic Republic of Iran) said that he supported the proposal made by the representative of Cuba and that his delegation reserved the right to speak in explanation of vote at the plenary meeting of the General Assembly.

Mr. Bayat Mokhtari (Islamic Republic of Iran): My delegation has asked for the floor to explain its vote on the draft resolution contained in document A/C.5/65/L.22, which is now before the General Assembly, as we cannot join any consensus to recognize any mechanism to enforce unlawful sanctions against my country.
السيد بيات مختاري (جمهورية إيران الإسلامية) (تكلم بالإنكليزية): لقد طلب وفد بلدي الكلمة ليعلل تصويته على مشروع القرار الوارد في الوثيقة A/C.5/65/L.22، والمعروض الآن على الجمعية العامة، حيث أنه لا يمكننا الانضمام إلى أي توافق في الآراء يقر بأي آلية لإنفاذ جزاءات غير مشروعة ضد بلدي.

36. Mr. Bayat Mokhtari (Islamic Republic of Iran) said, referring to the estimates in respect of special political missions in cluster I (A/66/354/Add.1 and Corr.1 and 2), that his Government, while reiterating its commitment to the internationally recognized laws aimed at the prevention of genocide, stressed that the concept of the responsibility to protect had not yet been endorsed by the General Assembly.
36 - السيد بيات مختاري (جمهورية إيران الإسلامية): قال في معرض إشارته إلى التقديرات بشأن البعثات السياسية الخاصة في المجموعة الأولى (A/66/354/Add.1 و Corr.1 و Corr.2) إن حكومته وإن كانت تؤكد على التزامها بالقوانين المعترف بها دوليا الهادفة إلى منع الإبادة الجماعية، فإنها تشدد على أن مفهوم المسؤولية عن الحماية لم يحظ حتى الآن بتأييد الجمعية العامة.
