May I also pass on the apologies of Australia's Ambassador, Mr. Peter Woolcott, who is unable to be here to deliver this statement because of Australia's universal periodic review in the Human Rights Council?
واسمحوا لي أيضاً أن أنقل اعتذار السفير بيتر وولكوت الذي تعذّر عليه الحضور هذا اليوم ليتلو عليكم هذا البيان، وذلك بسبب الاستعراض الدوري الشامل لأستراليا الذي يجري هذا اليوم في مجلس حقوق الإنسان.

Before we begin today's work, allow me, on behalf of the Conference and on my own behalf, to extend a cordial welcome to a new colleague who has assumed his responsibilities as representative of his Government to the Conference, namely Ambassador Peter Woolcott from Australia.
قبل أن نبدأ أعمال اليوم، اسمحوا لي أن أعرب، نيابة عن المؤتمر وبالأصالة عن نفسي، عن خالص الترحيب بزميل جديد تولى مسؤولياته كممثل لحكومته لدى المؤتمر، وهو السفير بيتر وولكوت من أستراليا.

4. Pursuant to that understanding, at its first session, the Preparatory Committee elected Peter Woolcott (Australia) to serve as Chair of the first session.
4 - وعملا بهذا التفاهم، انتخبت اللجنة التحضيرية في دورتها الأولى بيتر وولكوت (أستراليا) رئيسا للدورة الأولى.

2. The second session of the Preparatory Committee was opened on 22 April by Peter Woolcott (Australia), Chair of the first session of the Committee.
2 - وقام رئيس الدورة الأولى للجنة، بيتر وولكوت (أستراليا)، بافتتاح الدورة الثانية في 22 نيسان/أبريل.

8. Pursuant to that understanding, Peter Woolcott (Australia), the representative of the Western Group, was proposed to chair the first session.
8 - وعملا بذلك التفاهم، اقتُرح لرئاسة الدورة الأولى بيتر وولكوت (أستراليا)، ممثل مجموعة الدول الغربية.

17. The Fifth Conference of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V on Explosive Remnants of War was opened on 9 November 2011 by the President of the Fourth Conference, Ambassador Peter Woolcott of Australia.
17- افتتح المؤتمرَ الخامس للأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في البروتوكول الخامس المتعلق بالمتفجرات من مخلفات الحرب، السيد بيتر وولكوت سفير أستراليا ورئيس المؤتمر الرابع في 9 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2011.

At the same meeting, Peter Woolcott (Australia) was elected President of the Conference.
وفي الجلسة نفسها، انتُخب بيتر وولكوت (أستراليا) رئيساً للمؤتمر.

I would like to join Ambassador Peter Woolcott in thanking everyone, especially those who came from their respective capitals and participated in the experts' side event co-hosted by Japan and Australia from 14 to 16 February at the Palais des Nations.
أود كذلك أن أضم صوتي إلى سعادة السفير بيتر وولكوت وأن أتوجه بالشكر للجميع، وبخاصة للأعضاء الذين قدموا من مختلف العواصم وشاركوا في الحدث الجانبي للخبراء الذي اشتركت في رعايته اليابان وأستراليا في الفترة من 14 إلى 16 شباط/فبراير في قصر الأمم.

The Committee elected as Chairman of the Executive Committee, by acclamation, His Excellency Ambassador Peter Woolcott (Australia), who was nominated by the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh, a nomination which was seconded by the Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom.

1- قام رئيس اللجنة التنفيذية، سعادة السفير بيتر وولكوت (أستراليا)، بافتتاح الاجتماع، ورحب بسلوفينيا عضواً جديداً في اللجنة التنفيذية بعد أن انتخبها المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في 28 نيسان/أبريل 2010.

At its first plenary meeting, on 22 November 2010, the Conference confirmed the nomination of Ambassador Peter Woolcott of Australia as President of the Fourth Conference of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V. It also confirmed the nominations of Ambassador Zamir Akram of Pakistan and Ambassador Fedor Rosocha of Slovakia as Vice-Presidents of the Fourth Conference.
وأكد في جلسته العامة الأولى المعقودة في 22 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2010 تسمية السفير بيتر وولكوت (أستراليا) رئيساً للمؤتمر الرابع للأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في البروتوكول الخامس كما أكد تسمية السفير سمير أكرم (باكستان) والسفير فيدور روزوشا (سلوفاكيا) نائبين لرئيس المؤتمر الرابع.
