Speakers raised a number of issues with regard to identifying ways and means of building confidence, facilitating the exchange of information and ideas on the expeditious return of assets and encouraging cooperation between requesting and requested States.

Participants reaffirmed that a network of asset recovery focal points could provide opportunities for dialogue between requesting and requested States and that those focal points should make the maximum use of existing networks and contacts for international cooperation in criminal matters, as far as these were accessible to them and ready to provide the required assistance.
وأعاد المشاركون في المؤتمر التأكيد على أن من شأن إقامة شبكة لجهات الوصل المعنية باسترداد الموجودات إتاحة الفرص من أجل الحوار بين الدول الطالبة والدول المتلقية للطلبات وعلى أن جهات الوصل تلك مطالبة بالاستفادة إلى أقصى درجة من الشبكات والاتصالات القائمة من أجل التعاون الدولي في المسائل الجنائية بقدر ما تكون تلك الشبكات والاتصالات متاحة للاستخدام ومستعدة لتقديم المساعدة المطلوبة.

The importance of building confidence and trust between requesting and requested States for asset recovery was also stressed in the discussions of the Working Group, in particular as a means of increasing political will, developing a culture of mutual legal assistance, especially for the benefit of developing countries, and paving the way for successful international cooperation.
9- كما انْصبَّت مناقشات الفريق العامل على أهمية بناء الثقة بين الدول الطالبة والدول المتلقية للطلبات من أجل استرداد الموجودات، خاصة وأنَّ بناء الثقة وسيلةٌ تكفل تعزيزَ الإرادة السياسية، وإرساءَ ثقافة للمساعدة القانونية المتبادلة بما يعود بالفائدة على البلدان النامية بوجه خاص، وتمهيدَ الطريق لنجاح التعاون الدولي.
