As a reflection of the particular importance that the Secretary-General attaches to contacts and advocacy with Parliaments for a parliamentary dimension to the work of the Organization, including by addressing them on the occasion of his visits to different countries, the cooperation between the United Nations and IPU has continued and been reinforced since the Secretary-General submitted his last report on that subject (A/53/458).
