167- وبعد المناقشة، اتُّفق على الإبقاء على المادة للقراءة الثانية بعد تعديلها بحذف العبارة التالية الواردة في الفقرة (1) " تُطبّق فيها نظم قانونية مختلفة فيما يتعلق بالمسائل التي تتناولها هذه الاتفاقية " ، والاستعاضة عنها بالعبارة التالية: " هي أطراف في [معاهدات استثمار] [معاهدات] باسمها هي " .

“(1) If a State has two or more territorial units in which different systems of law are applicable in relation to the matters dealt with in this Convention, it may, at the time of signature, ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, declare that this Convention is to extend to all its territorial units or only one or more of them, and may at any time substitute another declaration for its earlier declaration.
" )١( اذا كان للدولة وحدتان اقليميتان أو أكثر تطبق فيها أنظمة قانونية مختلفة فيما يتعلق بالمسائل التي تتناولها هذه الاتفاقية ، جاز لهذه الدولة أن تعلن ، عند التوقيع أو التصديق أو القبول أو الاقرار أو الانضمام ، أن هذه الاتفاقية تسري على جميع وحداتها الاقليمية أو على واحدة فقط أو أكثر من هذه الوحدات ، ولها ، في أي وقت ، أن تستبدل باعلانها السابق اعلانا آخر .

(a) Proceeds derived from an offence established in article(s) ___ [alternatively: from an offence covered by this Convention] or property the value of which corresponds to that of such proceeds;

Confirming their determination that in cases not covered by this Convention and its annexed Protocols or by other international agreements, the civilian population and the combatants shall at all times remain under the protection and authority of the principles of international law derived from established custom, from the principles of humanity and from the dictates of public conscience,
إذ تؤكد تصميمها على أنه، في الحالات التي لا تتناولها هذه الاتفاقية و البروتوكولات الملحقة بها أو الاتفاقات الدولية الأخرى، يتوجب أن يظل السكان المدنيون والمقاتلون متمتعين، في كل الأوقات، بحماية وسلطان مبادئ القانون الدولي المستمدة من الأعراف المستقرة ومن المبادئ الإنسانية ومما يمليه الضمير العام،
