The Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) urged Kuwait to withdraw its general reservation to the Convention, as being incompatible with it, as well as its interpretative declarations.

8. The Committee welcomes the information provided by the State party's delegation during the dialogue about its intention to withdraw its general reservation to the Convention.
8 - تعرب اللجنة عن ترحيبها بالمعلومات المقدمة من وفد الدولة الطرف خلال الحوار الذي جرى بشأن اعتزامها سحب تحفظها العام على الاتفاقية.

11. The Committee reiterates its previous recommendations (CRC/C/15/Add.212, para. 8) and encourages the State party to consider withdrawing its general reservation to the Convention and its reservation on article 14 of the Convention.
11- تكرر اللجنة توصياتها السابقة (CRC/C/15/Add.212، الفقرة 8)، وتشجع الدولة الطرف على النظر في سحب تحفظها العام على الاتفاقية وتحفظها على المادة 14 من الاتفاقية.

In addition, it strives to implement the recommendations of the various treaty bodies. It has withdrawn its reservations to articles 21 and 22 of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment and has amended its general reservation to the Convention, linking it to articles 1 and 16.
وتعمل الدولة على تنفيذ توصيات لجان الرصد المختلفة، إذ قامت بإعادة صياغة تحفظاتها على الاتفاقية الدولية لمناهضة التعذيب وغيره من ضروب المعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة وذلك بسحب التحفظات على المادتين (21) و(22)، وتعديل تحفظها العام على الاتفاقية وربطه بالمادتين (1) و(16).

8. In the light of its previous recommendations (CRC/C/15/Add.96, para. 9), the Committee urges the State party to review its general reservation to the Convention and its interpretative declarations with a view to withdrawing them, in accordance with the 1993 Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action.
8- تحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف، في ضوء توصياتها السابقة (الفقرة 9 من الوثيقة CRC/C/15/Add.96)، على استعراض تحفظها العام على الاتفاقية وإعلاناتها التفسيرية بهدف سحبها، عملاً بإعلان وبرنامج عمل فيينا لعام 1993.

In 2009, while welcoming the information that Qatar withdrew the general reservation entered under the OP-CRC-SC, CRC regretted that Qatar made a partial withdrawal to its general reservation to the Convention by narrowing it to articles 2 (non-discrimination) and 14 (freedom of thought, conscience and religion).
3- وفي عام 2009، بينما رحبت اللجنة بالمعلومات التي تفيد أن قطر قد سحبت تحفظها العام الذي كانت قد أبدته على البروتوكول الاختياري للاتفاقية المتعلق ببيع الأطفال وبغاء الأطفال واستغلال الأطفال في المواد الإباحية، فإنها أبدت أسفها لأن قطر لم تسحب تحفظها العام على الاتفاقية إلا بشكل جزئي وذلك بقصره على المادة 2 (عدم التمييز) والمادة 14 (حرية الفكر والوجدان والدين) من الاتفاقية.
