36. The Committee welcomes the ratification of International Labour Organization Conventions No. 138 concerning the minimum age for admission to employment and 182 concerning the prohibition and immediate Action for the Elimination of the worst forms of child labour.

Such actions include the adoption and implementation by the Government of domestic legislation, the content of which is consistent with its legal obligations pursuant to its accession to ILO Conventions No. 138, the Minimum Age Convention and ILO Convention No. 182 concerning the prohibition and immediate Action for the Elimination of the worst forms of child labour.

The Government has adopted the 2008 - 2011 national programme of action of the social partners for the eradication of the worst forms of child labour as part of its obligations under International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention No. 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour.

Bahrain had become a party to the Convention in 1992, as well as to a number of texts of the International Labour Organization, including Convention 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour (1999) and Convention 138 concerning Minimum Age for Admission to Employment (1973).

In light of the State party's commitment to the timebound programme to eliminate the worst forms of child labour, the Committee encourages the State party to ratify, at the earliest opportunity, ILO Convention (No. 182) concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour.

It also welcomes the ratification of International Labour Organization Conventions No. 98 (1949) on the Application of the Principles of the Right to Organize and to Bargain Collectively, No. 138 (1973) concerning the Minimum Age for Admission to Employment and No. 182 (1999) concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour.
وترحب أيضاً بالتصديق على اتفاقيات منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 98(1949) المتعلقة بتطبيق مبدأي الحق في التنظيم والمساواة الجماعية، ورقم 138(1973) المتعلقة بالحد الأدنى لسن الالتحاق بالعمل ورقم 182(1999) المتعلقة بحظر أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال واتخاذ تدابير فورية للقضاء عليها(8).

The Committee welcomes the State party's ratification, in September 2001, of the Optional Protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict and on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography, as well as its ratification, in December 2000, of ILO Convention No. 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour.

376. The Committee recommends that the State party establish a clear minimum age for employment which should be in line with existing international standards such as those enshrined in ILO Conventions No. 138 concerning the Minimum Age for Admission to Employment of 1973 and No. 182 concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour of 1999.
376- توصي اللجنة بأن تضع الدولة الطرف حداً أدنى واضحاً لسن التشغيل ينبغي أن يكون متماشياً مع المعايير الدولية القائمة، مثل تلك الواردة في اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 138 لعام 1973 المتعلقة بالحد الأدنى لسن التشغيل، واتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 182 لعام 1999 بشأن حظر أسوأ أشكال عمل الأطفال، واتخاذ تدابير فورية للقضاء عليها.
