Recalling Article 24 (1) of the Charter of the United Nations, which confers upon the Security Council primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security, the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has the honour to bring formally to the attention of the Security Council the grave humanitarian " situation " facing Jordan as a result of the influx of Syrian refugees.
إن حكومة المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، إذ تشير إلى المادة 24 (1) من الميثاق، الذي يلقي على عاتق مجلس الأمن المسؤولية الرئيسية عن صون السلم والأمن الدوليين، تتشرف بأن توجه رسميا انتباه مجلس الأمن إلى " الحالة " الإنسانية الخطيرة التي تواجه الأردن نتيجة تدفق اللاجئين السوريين.
