In accordance with article 31 of the regulations of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund, a withdrawal settlement is payable to a participant in the Pension Fund whose age on separation is less than the normal retirement age or if the participant is of the normal retirement age or older on separation but is not entitled to a retirement benefit.
